You can get the most recent "NvmExpressDxe_4" module here: This way you will not lose some important settings like your NIC MAC address. You must first update to the official 213 bios (so you will have the most recent one) than make two backups of it and apply the modifications to one backup file. I have a G751JY with I7-4710HQ laptop with BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. Does it matter what bios i have installed at the moment or do i need to update it first before flashing your bios ?. This bios is v213 for G751JY with I7-4710HQ, don't use it if you have anouther CPU.Īm new to this bios update so could i ask is the bios you have posted on this link ( ) already fully modified with everything needed to use an nvme drive.Do i just need to download your bios and flash it then install a 970evo nvme. Microcodes updated (only for CPU i7 - 4710HQ) (use Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver 14.) Specific-BIOS-modding-problems-with-an-ASUS-ROG-G-JY-notebook.htmlĪll credits goes to win-raid forums (feel free to donate to help them or not) and especially the great Lost_N_BIOS. My touchpad stopped working (it recognises movement but physical buttons dont work, and also taping on touchpad area dont work as left or right click) so i`ve blocked it in bios and disconnected physically as well. My battery is physically removed (cause it was dead ) it`s gone for few months My system is G751JY with 4860hq processor, 16BG (2x8) hyper x black ram, s圆000pro m2 + adata au650 ssd sata + optical drive caddy sata hybrid seagate firacuda 2tb SSHD It is no driver or system issue, i suppose its uefi related issue.

Uefi install of windows fixed my previous problem with external display - i had to manualy switch to external display every time i restart windows, now this issue is fixedĪs for new problem - my system is shuting down properly and starting (almost ) every time.īut if i use restart system in windows 10 it will ALWAYS end up in black screen, fans working, keyboard lights turned off, and stays in that state forever. Transfers are very nice but in my case i have irritating side effect - i`ve lost capability to use 'restart system' option in windows. I`ve flashed first with nvme 3 and later prepared nvme 4 (mini size) bios which is now in my system. Just to inform, that procedure is quite easy and rather safe if done properly.
